These are 22 momme mulberry, the same silk as our pillowcases rather than a lighter offcut.\n\nCheck the construction, not the picture\n\nOn anything a baby wears, look for what can come loose. There is no plastic fastening on these, no rigid trim and nothing to detach.\n\nWashing them\n\nHand wash in cool water with a detergent made for baby clothes. No fabric softener, which leaves a residue on the fibre. No dryer.\n\nWhat they are not\n\nThey are mittens. They stop scratching.
